I'm really starting to wonder WHY people are all spazzy about Gay & Lesbian issues. I mean, they can't adopt kids, can't marry each other, can't (in most cases) get health-care for their partners, all sorts of things that straight people take for granted.

I mean, what is it to someone else what you do in your personal life?

I honestly feel that everyone should have the right to marry whomever he or she wants, regardless of gender. That everyone should be able to adopt children if they want to (and are in a position to care for those children properly. Then again, I belive that if you aren't in a position to care for your children, you shouldn't be allowed to have them.)

Why does what is between someone's legs matter more than what's in their heads or hearts?

So, my first ever attempt to make tomato sauce last night came out well. Keith (our landlord) gave us some lovely tomatoes from his garden, and since I don't know what to do with the things, I decided that I'd make sauce.

Lots of garlic, dill, a touch too much hot pepper, and plenty of meat and parmesan cheese. Yum!

I'm totally craving creamcheese and green olives, though. *sigh* If I hadn't made Mike go to the store to buy things so I could make dinner the other night, I'd ask him to go today. There is no grocery store between the train and home now, though there is a cute little convenience store.

Internet from home is finally working! Yaaay! (No, I'm not at home at the moment.)

This is a good thing. I hate being without access. Hatehatehate it.

I feel all cut-off from the world, and get grumpy.

8.29.01, 12:03pm

So, the move is complete, but I don't have internet access from home yet. *sigh*

I have a new theory on how to fix the middle east. While what I -really- want to do is to seperate Israel and Palestine, smack them on the wrists, and make them sit with their noses in the corner for a few thousand years like a couple of squabbling toddlers (tell me, is that NOT how they're acting?), my current solution is to make everyone marry someone from the opposing nation. In a generation or two, the trouble should stop.

Yeah, I'm being idealistic again, and there are more logistical problems with this than I can even BEGIN to list, but damnit, it's a good plan. *smile*

Updated Googled. Some of those searches really frighten me.

What's Your Pirate Name?

I'm Black Jenny Bonney. *grin*

Yeah, it looks like it's going to be -that- kind of day. And even if it isn't, it's all good music. *grin*

I dreamed that I dreamed I was a fish.

I was made of metal, and wearing a kimono. If I couldn't find a way to remove the kimono, I'd sink and drown, but it was on me in such a way, that I couldn't remove it without hands, which as a fish, I didn't have.

8.4.01, 5:29am

Well, we got a house. *poing*

It's a cuuuute little place in Burlingame, with a huge living room and a big kitchen (with supercool cabinets) and the landlord liked us enough to cancel the rest of the viewings he was going to have.

We move in the beginning of September.

I'm sooooo psyched!

8.2.01, 8:04am

I dreamed last night that we had two ferrets and three snakes that had the run of the house. The snakes didn't like to leave the bathroom (they hung out between the toilet and tub, and liked to scare my friends.)

The ferrets were a bit skinny.. one was a snappish black-eyed white, who would only behave for me, so I had to carry him around all the time. The other was a browm female, who was very skittish, and thought the snakes were her babies.

It was a very weird dream.

8.1.01, 2:28pm

I'm going to be making a font for Scrubbo, who does Silly Cone V. Go read it. *grin*

8.1.01, 8:10am

Oh, it is SO the hair. This morning and yesterday afternoon proved it to me. *grin*

Today's soundtrack:
  • Natacha Atlas: Ayeshteni
  • Ani DiFranco: Little Plastic Castle
  • Holly Cole: It Happened One Night
  • The Best of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

I dreamed last night that Mike and I were arguing about whether or not someone I knew 10 years ago stored his garbage underground.

I told him when I got up that he picks the same sorts of silly points to argue in my dreams as when we're awake.
