Checkerboard Snooduse a weight 10 thread and a size 8 hook.
row 1: ch 6, join with sl st to make ring. ch 4 (first tc - here and thoughout), dc in ring. ch 2. *2 tc in ring, ch 2. repeat from * 5 times. sl st to join last ch 2 to first tc.
row 2: ch 4, tc in ch 2. *ch 4. 2 tc in ch. repeat from *. Last ch 4, ch 2, tc in top of first tc. (there should be 1 set of 2 tc per ch 2 below)
row 3: ch 4, tc in ch 4 below, ch 4, 2 tc in same ch 4. repeat until you're all the way around. ch2, dc in top of first tc.
row 4 and onward: keep doing the same thing, increasing the chains by 1 on each new row. When the loops they form become too big, either increase the number of triple crochets by one or work an increase row like row 3.
Continue until the snood is big enough and run a ribbon or piece of elastic though the holes of the top row.
