Ferris, in his black satin Elizabethan. My first men's garb other than baggy pants, tunics, and fop shirts.
I used the Fantasy Fashions patterns for the doublet & slops. The slops, other than topstiching the #$^%&** panes, went together incredibly easily. The doublet is another easy pattern, though it always needs to be fitted. (Which I never do.) The armhole gapes a bit, but that is something that would be fixed in the fitting.
This particular doublet has an interlining of quilt batting to make it a little puffy, so the garnet beads which are studded all over the thing will make nice little dimples. The sleeves were originally going to have little silver rings attached like ring mail, but I didn't have enough rings, and I'm lazy anyhow. (The garnets took all of my patience.)
Ferris has a satin flatcap to match, but he only wore it for a little while, because he likes Meredith's headband much better.
