I've been trying to imagine who could play a convincing (to me, at least) Ameila Peabody. (If you don't know who Peabody is, go hunt down the Elizabeth Peters books with her; she's an amazing character.) So far, the best prospect I've been able to come up with is Judi Dench. She's got that wonderful way of carrying herself, and has an incredible voice.

I woke up this morning thinking about actors who ape other's styles, and how much it bugs me. The three in my head are Colin Firth, as he was in A&E's Pride and Prejudice. He tries terribly hard to be Richard Burton (who is fine if you see only one movie with him in it. If you see more than one, Burton is extremely annoying, because it's the same character in each.) The second is Christian Slater.. the Jack Nickelson clone. And he used to be soooo cute! And whats-his-face, who was in Cruel Intensions.. trying to be John Malkovich from Dangerous Liasons.

My dream images the past few nights have been bugging me. Things like people walking around with no skin.. talking, working (not particularly enjoying themselves), no blood, but muscles and tendons exposed, everyone looking like a medical diagram. Most unplesant. All the animals, too.

Last night, was something about a small dog with diahrrea. And not only did I have the clean up after the thing, but I was charged with keeping him sick. Though, at least he had skin and fur.

Usually, I can make sense of my dreams.. they're never particularly abstract, and I can figure out where most of the elements come from. The dog one, almost resembles work after a fashion. I think it's a dream exaggeration, since work isn't that bad. But the skinless folks.. and the main aspect of the dream *is* that they were skinless, and still functioning normally.
